\nTurkey\u2019s media watchdog has fined a TV show 410,000 Turkish Liras for “immorality,” after it showed husbands dancing with other women while their wives looked on.<\/p>\n

The popular show \u201cBen Bilmem E\u015fim Bilir\u201d (I Don’t Know, My Partner Knows) has been fined 410,000 by RT\u00dcK.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RT\u00dcK) fined the popular Kanal D show \u201cBen Bilmem E\u015fim Bilir\u201d (I Don’t Know, My Partner Knows) after a game in one of the episodes was found to be \u201cagainst public morality\u201d and \u201cruining the family structure,\u201d daily Cumhuriyet reported.<\/p>\n

The offending episode was broadcast on Nov. 16 and featured male contestants dancing, sometimes closely, with a group of foreign women, as the men\u2019s wives or girlfriends watched. The female contestants were seen exclaiming, \u201cReally? Is this a joke? I will kill him,\u201d in the studio as they looked on.<\/p>\n

The RT\u00dcK ruling said the scene that was played out on screen \u201cencouraged men to cheat on their wives and provided an environment that would harm family tranquility.\u201d It added that the show \u201cdegraded women to the level of a sexual object.\u201d<\/p>\n

RT\u00dcK also raised eyebrows last month after it fined private station ATV for broadcasting a drama that featured a scene involving a kiss that it described as \u201clip-o-suction.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
